What’s a Ruck?
a ruck is weighted walking, running, or hiking. The simon kenton ruck began as a means to turn suffering into benefit through fundraising for non-profits and important causes.
Why Ruck?
Rucks offer a unique blend of mindfulness and self-discipline as you can go as far as you are willing and push yourself to personal limit for an ultimate exercise in physical activity and endurance.
It is most often recommended that you carry 10-20% of your bodyweight during a ruck.
The Simon Kenton Ruck does not mandate any specific weight and no weight is required to particicpate.
Everyone is welcome to wear a weighted vest, backpack, or carry something that feels right to you.
The Simon Kenton Ruck began as a passion project between Ryan Swolsky and Anthony Chamblin as a means to create a local event that brings the community together and supports the ongoing efforts of local nonprofits and organizations.
