the 2025 simon kenton ruck

HAS BEEN CANCELLED

We regret to inform everyone that this year’s Simon Kenton Ruck is cancelled. Due to circumstances surrounding the recently escaped inmate from the Brown County Jail, this decision must be made.

Regional law enforcement have been working around the clock for the last 75+ hours in search of the escaped inmate who is suspected to be in the Dover, KY, area of Mason County.

He is believed to be armed with a rifle and was facing charges on attempted murder, felonious assault and having weapons under disability.

We make this decision for the sake of participant safety and to allow law enforcement to continue their search unimpeded. Simon Kenton Ruck co-organizers, Sheriff Ryan Swolsky and Deputy Sheriff Blake Wagnor, are among those leading the search. Please keep them, and all law enforcement involved, in mind and prayer.

Thank you to everyone that registered. We are grateful for your participation and support in making this event possible for the last four years.

Refunds will be issued to everyone that registered, and we will keep everyone aware of future plans as they develop.

Keep rucking,

Anthony Chamblin, SKR Co-organizer
